The Final Showcase (and where we go next)
Below you'll find the final wrap of Indieformer-as-curator.
It's been two years since we jumped back in head-first, and it's been incredible. But somewhere in the middle of publishing Feed the Scorchpot, something clicked: I'd rather be creative again than just talk about other people being creative. We got our hands dirty, and don't want to wash them again.
So this is the last monthly Highlights email.
Holding publisher and curator at the same time turned out to be a weird mix of a bag where only one was going to win. Publishing won. Everything from the last 13 years has led here — to help shape games, not just point at them.
Feed the Scorchpot is the first. It won't be the last.
This newsletter sticks around, but it turns into something more like notes from a publisher. Still Indieformer, still us (maybe a cheeky rec or two), but mostly: what we're going through trying to navigate this new direction. We aren't a venture fund. We don't have much of our own to spend either. But some people have decided to believe in us — so we'll take it and run.
If that's not what you signed up for, no hard feelings — unsubscribe is right there (sorry I didn’t know how to link it here). I'd rather not send you something you didn't ask for.
A few other bits:
A new website is up. If you want to talk to us — pitching a game for publishing, marketing or co-marketing help, funding/partnership chats, or just to say hi — hello@indieformer.com is the way in.
Want to follow Scorchpot itself? It lives on Discord and Steam now.
Patch Notes is coming back, after Scorchpot releases in August.
Thanks for being here through the curator chapter. Onwards we march!
Enjoy these last gems from May, 2026.
