DESCRIPtION
Short version. A coin-flip roguelite. You traded your soul for money, and now the only way out of this occult purgatory is to keep flipping. Bet on heads or tails, collect Artifacts that bend the odds, and hit the score before your flips run out.
Long version. You sold your soul for money. The buyer had antlers, stood behind a counter, and settles every debt on the toss of a coin. Now you're stuck in his purgatory, a place built out of Slavic folklore, and the only way out is to beat the house at its own game.
Every round gives you a score to hit and a set number of flips to hit it with. Pick a side, place your bet, flip. Wins pay out currency, and the currency buys Artifacts and Blessings that shift the odds, multiply your payouts and stack into each other. Miss the score and the run is over.
Between runs you can walk the Main Room. Poke around, solve what's solvable, and work out where you are and who you've been playing against. Every run opens up a bit more of it, win or lose.
WHAt It IS
- Fifty-fifty, at first. The base odds are even. Stack enough Artifacts and Blessings and a 50/50 stops being a 50/50.
- Build around the flip. 40 Artifacts and 12 Blessings, each one changing how a flip pays out or how often it lands your way.
- More coins. Later you're flipping two at once. Then three.
- Something to keep. Unlocks carry over between runs, so a loss still gets you new Artifacts, new parts of the room and more of the story.
- A bit of mercy. A run of tails won't always finish you. Pity mechanics, like a flip that's guaranteed to land your way, give you a route back.
- Slavic folk horror. The setting draws on Slavic folklore and the old stories about bargaining with the devil. The ones that rarely end well.
Who it's for. Roguelite players, because runs are short and the rules are simple and the depth is all in how your Artifacts combine. People who want a story with their runs, told through the room around you and the scenes you unlock, the way Inscryption and The Room do it. And anyone at all, because it's heads or tails and you already know how to play.
